This project was a very simple addition to a private residence in Waihi, New Zealand. The local city council favors certain straight forward proprietary building systems for ease of review for code compliance especially in regard to earthquake resistance. I enjoyed that the New Zealand building code is so short, simple, and easy to read! The house is situated on a remote farm area that still retains much of the wild jungle/bush of New Zealand. This addition would add just under twice the floor plan area to this typical New Zealand rural farm-type house.
